graeg-ham (grey home)
You can enjoy views from the Cumbrian countryside from our Grayme suite and relax in the comfy seating area. You will find a bath and separate shower, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, dressing table. The TV is also cleverly hidden at the foot of the bed.
All of our rooms take their name from a Border Reivers clan infamous for raiding and marauding their neighbours. The Grahams were a particularly lively family and said to have made many enemies, feuding especially with the Bells, the Musgraves and the Maxwells. The name originates from old English graeg-ham (grey home).
Our bedroom interiors have taken inspiration from the stunning landscape surrounding the inn with soft organic tones and hints of natural textures such as wood, slate, wool and tweed blended with luxurious Egyptian cotton for the highest levels of comfort and style.
There are touches of indulgence to make your stay as special as possible from fresh flowers to fluffy towels and always a homemade, freshly baked treat from the kitchen upon your arrival.
