The Pentonbridge Inn Menu

In September 2021, we re-launched our food experience with a renewed focus on fine dining with a brand-new four course tasting menu that is rooted in Cumbria. 

Guests to Pentonbridge Inn are invited to create their own bespoke tasting menu complete with paired wines from options that include Askerton Castle Rare Breed Pork with Confit Beetroot, Burnt Apple, and Bay Leaf; Whitehaven Lobster Salt Baked Golden Beetroot, and signature dessert, Valrhona Chocolate Mousse.

The menu is designed to highlight fantastic suppliers and the best produce grown in our Walled Garden at Netherby Hall.

The food is reflective of our Head chef Chris' unique style of modern British/European cuisine, and love of seasonal local ingredients.

Booking & Dietary Requirements

For guests looking to book a party size of 6 or more, please contact our reception team directly. We cater for large parties at 6pm or 8:30pm.

When making a booking for our restaurant please inform our staff of any food allergies or dietary requirements.

We kindly ask that any guests who follow a vegetarian diet and/or have intolerances give us 48 hours notice, so our kitchen team can prepare a separate menu.

Due to our cooking style we are unfortunately unable to cater for guests who have a severe lactose allergy, require a dairy free diet or follow a vegan diet.

Please note we do not serve a children’s menu, however we would be delighted for you to bring your children to develop their taste buds and dine from our menu.

Cancellation Policy

As we are operating at reduced capacity due to covid restrictions, every table is very important to us.

Any no shows or restaurant bookings cancelled within 24 hours of arrival will incur a 50% charge of the Tasting Menu price per person.
